Youth advocacy in Breza

Youth association Breza, Croatia

The work of the Breza youth association has enabled the development of youth advocacy which resulted in the following axes of proposals:

Networking with other organizations and local authorities on advocacy and research activities in the field of youth (Student councils in schools, Club des jeunes Pot…) and their participation in local communities in the city of Osijek

Research activities on student councils during the period of COVID-19 in primary and secondary schools in Croatia and with a focus on the county of Osijek and Osijek-Baranja – in cooperation with Dokkica, MMH, CGI Poreč, Association Delta Rijeka and Infozona: inclusion of examples from other EU countries (Malta, Iceland, Lithuania, Georgia, Italy, Hungary, France…) and development of recommendations for the Ministry of Education and principals

Informal education activities for disadvantaged young people and young people in general in urban and rural areas on life skills for better employment and entry into the labor market, including the organization of different workshops: housekeeping, cooking, communication, digital skills, professional orientations, free time, English, creative skills
