Acting together with and for young people: freeing up speech

Lots of new things in the Tide! project – concrete actions are coming to life, starting with the meeting of young people from the MFR of Lambesc and Pertuis Local Mission at the marquee of Zimzam for adapted circus workshops with young people with autism, writing on the power to act led by a trainer with a disability and trust games. This was an opportunity for participants to address the issue of difference through discussions and to deconstruct many preconceptions in a safe, reassuring and authentic space. The afternoon then allowed them to share their vision of representations of the male-female gender. This format follows 9 other workshops in Provence to accustom young people to speaking out, to seizing their power to act on fairly broad themes and to allow them to express themselves on what matters to them.

Ronan – Tide! en Provence host, accompanied by Sylvain – president of the association JAIM, is the guest on SqoolTV who dedicated an interview to the project in their Mag. Take a few minutes to listen to the show which notably addresses animation by collective intelligence 1+1=3, the most represented themes within youth exchanges, the ant work to reach these young people off the radar, the skills of a good facilitator and the development of young people's soft skills.

The challenge remains unchanged: to make visible what is possible to seize its power to act, decision-makers and institutions need the voice of young people. Participate in the next stage at the Provence Youth Forum on October 11-12 in Lourmarin around the noble question: how to act together with and for young people?
