Develop skills in robotics and bionics

BSC (Slovenia) is currently working on the new regional development plan. In May, several meetings with regional boards took place, in particular mayors, economic players and NGOs. The linking of sectors brings significant added value in terms of social entrepreneurship, for example.

The question of robotics and bionics is at stake with a need for skills that does not yet exist. This is a challenge for VET teachers who have to prepare learners for future skills.

As schools take too long to adapt, companies are developing their own training courses. This leads to more VET and more flexibility, but sometimes without VET schools. One way to connect different stakeholders is to work on a common vision and help make the connection between needs and what education delivers.

An important subject is to strengthen the link with decision-makers also and above all to bring young people into dialogue. The Kranj Parliament is really active and is developing links with youth dialogue.

Within the framework of VET 4 Change, a connection with the European youth event could be established.
